The School Improvement Forum will be held on 05/24/22 at 1:00 p.m. at TMHS and TES schools.  We would like to invite all parents and community partners to this event.  We encourage everyone to share ideas for school improvement.  Your input is very much appreciated.

Pre-K Registration - May 9th PreK Reg

The next and possibly the final day of Pre-K registration for the 2022-23 school year will be held in-person, by appointment, on Monday, May 9. Call the school at (912) 529-7161 to schedule a 15 minute appointment. Pre-K students must be present to complete the registration process. TCS - Summer Camps camp

We are excited to announce a wonderful opportunity for your child! This summer Treutlen County Schools will be hosting two summer camps.
Camp activities include sporting activities such as football, soccer, basketball, cheerleading as well as math and reading academic activities. Camps will be held during the month of June from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm Monday through Thursday. Students will receive both breakfast and lunch

E-cigarettes are devices that heat a liquid into an aerosol that the user inhales. The liquid usually has nicotine and flavoring in it, and other additives. The nicotine in e-cigarettes and regular cigarettes is addictive. E-cigarettes are considered tobacco products because most of them contain nicotine, which comes from tobacco. FCC - Affordable Connectivity Program - Help with Internet Cost FCC ACP

The Affordable Connectivity Program is an FCC benefit program that helps ensure that households can afford the broadband they need for work, school, healthcare and more. The benefit provides a discount of up to $30 per month toward internet service for eligible households. Eligible households can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers. Lady Viking Second Round Playoff Game - Monday - Tickets must be bought on-line Lady Vikings Soccer

The lady Vikings will host Towns County on Monday, April 18th at 5:30 for the second round of the state playoffs. Tickets can only be bought on-line at the official website. No tickets will be available at the gate. Only Official GHSA Passes will be accepted at the gate. So please visit the site and get your tickets to the games. We want the stands packed and loud. First Annual TCS Art Show Art Show

Calling all TCS Artists! The Treutlen County School's SkillsUSA will be hosting an Art Show on May 6th. This show will display art from any student, staff or alumni of the Treutlen County School system. Submit any art work that has been produced within the last year to Mrs. Alison Cox or drop off at the front office. There is a limit of 3 items per person.  Each items must include first & last name, grade, and title. Any medium accepted (paint, crayon, mixed media, digital, etc.) All submissions are due by April 13th. Everyone is invited to attend the art show from 6:30-8:00. Admission is $3.00.

Parent/Student Night - March 30 ps

On March 30th the Treutlen County School system will be hosting a Parent and Student night for all students in grades 8-12. Please come out and join THS staff as we share curriculum updates and provide ways to succeed in high school. Information will also be shared about 8th graders transition to high school. Door prizes will be provided. We encourage all students and parents to attend. We encourage parents to continue to provide input in their child's education.

1,400 Books in the Hands of our Students read2

Since 2020, children, birth to five years old, in Treutlen County have been receiving free age-appropriate books and literacy resources monthly from the Ferst Readers program. This has been made possible through the efforts of the local volunteer Community Action Team and the Treutlen County Board of Education. Ferst Readers has provided over 1,400 books to Treutlen County children. Student with a Disability Parent Survey doe

Parents of students with a disability are asked to complete a survey for the Treutlen County Board of Education and the Georgia Department of Education. In order for all students to graduate prepared to achieve a lifetime of success, families need to be an important part of the school team. It is critical that the GaDOE assist local school systems in partnering with families to raise the achievement rate for students with disabilities. TMS Title One Parent Meeting - Jan 6th from 4-6pm Title 1

Make plans to come out and meet with your student's teachers. A parent-teacher conference is a great opportunity to:

  • share academic progress and growth based on classroom observations, testing data, assessments, portfolios, and assignments
  • learn from parents or guardians so you can be better informed about students' strengths, needs, behaviors, and learning styles
  • discuss enrichment or intervention strategies to support students' learning
  • discuss issues that may be interfering with students' learning and growth
TES Family Literacy Night - December 6th Lit Night

On December 6th, the Treutlen County Elementary School will be holding Family Literacy Night from 5:30-7:00PM.  The event will take place at the THS Basketball Gym next to Bobby Driggers Stadium. Please come out and enjoy Christmas performances from 1st-3rd grade students.  Free food, books, and literacy material will be provided to families.  Family Literacy Night is a great way to engage students and their parents in meaningful literacy activities while strengthening the partnership between school and home.  Please mark your calendar and make plans to attend. DFCS - Pandemic Food Assistance Program DFCS

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic: The Georgia Division of Family & Children Services (DFCS), in partnership with the Department of
Education (GaDOE), has been approved to offer the P-EBT program for the 2020-2021 school term. This program will provide the families of children who receive free and/or reduced lunch at school with additional financial assistance to buy groceries.

TES Family Math Night - Nov 18 math night

TES will be hosting a Family Math Night on November 18, from 5:15-6:30.  The purpose of the event is to provide families with a variety of resources to support mathematical learning at home.  Door Prizes and light refreshments will be provided. Thursday, November 11th  Treutlen Elementary School would like to show gratitude to our Veterans by handing out a small token of our appreciation. FBLA Thanksgiving Food Drive Food Drive

The Treutlen County High School FBLA will be conducting a Food Drive during the month of November. Please donate non-perishable food items to those in need during this Holiday season. Items can be placed in the box in the hallway or brought to Room #703.

Annual Title I Meeting - Oct. 26th Title 1

Parents of students who attend Treutlen Elementary School and Treutlen Middle/High School are invited to attend the Annual Title I Meeting.  The meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. in the Treutlen County K-12 School Cafeteria.  Attendants will learn about the requirements of Title I and how parents can become more involved in their child’s education.

School Bus Safety Week - Oct. 18-22 bus

Bus Driver Appreciation Day is Monday, October 18th. School Bus Safety Week will be October 18th-22nd. We truly appreciation of our bus drivers, monitors, substitute drivers and bus shop technician. They do a great job in transporting our students safely.

Johnson County Football Game Canceled cancel

New Covid19 Procedures covid

Because of the confirmed positive cases of COVID in Treutlen County, Treutlen County Schools modified numerous procedures effective this morning for students and staff in the school building.  The district added more lunch periods (one earlier and one later—a snack will be provided as needed) for increased social distancing abilities.  All water fountains will be closed effective this afternoon and we encourage students to bring a refillable water bottle to school for hydration purposes.  Temporarily, all student overnight travel will be limited until Treutlen County’s 14-day case rate decreases.  We are in the process of preparing a reduced student count in person school model should case rates elevate or remain elevated.  The school system will communicate any changes to the instructional delivery method well in advance for parents to make the necessary arrangements.  In conclusion, we encourage students and staff to wear masks and practice social distancing as we enter this new phase of COVID in education.  The district will provide school system summary data on Friday’s.

Back to School - Open House back to school OH

The back to school open house will take place on Monday August 2nd and Tuesday August 3rd from 2:30 until 6:00. There are 4 sessions planned for Open house to allow for smaller numbers of people in the building at any time. Each household will attend open house based on the oldest child’s last name.  If the last name is A-F you will attend form 2:30-4:00 on Monday, G-L 4:30-6:00 Monday, M-R 2:30-4:00 Tuesday and S-Z 4:30-6:00 Tuesday. We look forward to seeing all of you at Open House.

Covid19 Vaccinations for Students cov

if you are interested in your child receiving the Covid19 vaccination, the Treutlen County Health Department will be at the school to provide those during Open House.  The local health department will be providing the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine to students 12 years of age and older (accompanied by a parent/guardian) between 2:30PM and 5:30 PM during open house Monday, Aug. 2, and Tuesday, August 3. Please speak to your child's doctor or medical provider prior to vaccination if you have any questions or concerns. Pfizer is a 2-dose vaccine separated by 21 days. The health department staff will return in 21 days to vaccinate those students that get the first dose during open house.  Consent forms and Emergency Use Authorization packets will be provided during the vaccination clinic.

DPH - Scoliosis Screening Required DHP

The Department of Public Health wants to remind all parents that scoliosis screening is required for all students in the 6th and 8th
grades who attend public school in Georgia.  Scoliosis is a sideways curve of the spine. About 3% of children are affected by scoliosis. It can
occur at any age but is often noticeable between the ages of 9 and 16, when growth occurs rapidly. For more information, please click on the links below.

Reduced Price Internet FCC

On February 25th, the FCC unanimously adopted a Report and Order that established the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program, a $3.2 billion federal initiative to help lower the cost of high-speed internet for eligible households during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The Emergency Broadband Benefit Program was created by Congress in the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021. Our students in the Treutlen County school system are eligible for this program. 2014 Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports

PBIS is a national program used to help students be successful in school. It is a program that focuses on positive behavioral  intervention. Treutlen Middle\High School introduces students to their PBIS matrix. The expectations are:
