New Covid19 Procedures covid

Because of the confirmed positive cases of COVID in Treutlen County, Treutlen County Schools modified numerous procedures effective this morning for students and staff in the school building.  The district added more lunch periods (one earlier and one later—a snack will be provided as needed) for increased social distancing abilities.  All water fountains will be closed effective this afternoon and we encourage students to bring a refillable water bottle to school for hydration purposes.  Temporarily, all student overnight travel will be limited until Treutlen County’s 14-day case rate decreases.  We are in the process of preparing a reduced student count in person school model should case rates elevate or remain elevated.  The school system will communicate any changes to the instructional delivery method well in advance for parents to make the necessary arrangements.  In conclusion, we encourage students and staff to wear masks and practice social distancing as we enter this new phase of COVID in education.  The district will provide school system summary data on Friday’s.
