Transportation

Any changes in transportation must be made "in person" at school by the parent or legal guardian. No faxed letters, notes sent by students/parents, or phone calls requesting transportation changes will be accepted.

• Students should arrive at their assigned bus stop at least 5 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time.
• Students should be appropriately dressed for weather conditions, including rain, cold, or extreme heat.
• A parent or guardian should supervise students at the bus stop until the bus arrives.
• Students should never chase a bus or attempt to go to another stop to catch it. If a bus is missed, a parent or guardian will need to provide transportation to school.

• Students must keep hands, feet, and personal belongings to themselves at all times.
• Students are required to remain seated in their assigned seat while the bus is in motion.
• Eating, and drinking are not permitted on the bus.
• Students should demonstrate respectful behavior toward fellow riders and the bus driver at all times.

• Drop-offs and pick-ups need to be on the correct side your child attends. You pick up on the side your child is on. For your child’s safety, please pick up only on the side where they are waiting. No crossing over. TES car riders use TES side. TMHS car riders use TMHS side.
• Families with students at both schools may pick up all students on the TES side. TMHS students will be released to meet their siblings at your vehicle when you arrive.
• Please follow traffic patterns and staff directions.
• You are not allowed to pull up in parking lots and have your child walk out to you. 
• Student drivers can walk in together with their TES sibling(s). In the mornings, they may walk together to their respective schools. In the afternoons, pick up on the TES side as normal because of the difference in dismissal times.
• In order to pick up children in the TES car rider line, you must have a TES car rider tag visibly displayed in your vehicle. See Ms. Beacham in the front office for the tags, where all parents will receive two. Replacement tags are $3 each.
• Car rider pickup ends at 3:05 p.m. each afternoon. If you arrive after 3:05 p.m., you will need to come inside and show a photo ID to check your child out.
