Calling All Virtual Students! Virtual Map Testing

NWEA-MAP spring testing will be held May 24-25.  Virtual learners in grades K-8 must have a valid spring MAP score in order to be considered for promotion to the next grade level.   All virtual learners will need to attend one three-hour testing session.  Please use the form below to sign up for a time slot.    School transportation will be provided on a limited basis, but social distancing cannot be ensured on the school bus.

Federal Programs Parent Survey Survey

Parents, Please take a moment and complete the Federal Programs Google survey. We will be collecting data from parents and other stakeholders for our federal programs. The survey will be available through Wednesday, May 12, 2021.  This data is used to help guide some of the funding that is allocated. Some information can also be used in our improvement planning.  An additional survey will go out to students and another to staff.

Georgia Milestones Testing Milestones

Parents and students - It is that time of year when students will be taking the Georgia Milestones tests. These are mandated by the state.  These tests must be taken at the school due to test security reasons. Students at different grade levels will be tested on different days. Our students need to do their very best on these tests. Please make sure students are well rested and on time each day for testing. Sport Physicals sport phys


Anyone wanting to participate in athletics for the upcoming school year, needs to get a physical. Those will be available on Friday April 30th 2021 from 1-3PM. The physicals will take place in the TREUTLEN MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL GYM. The cost is $5 per athlete. Please make sure to pick up physical packets in front office or from Coach V. All people getting a physical must have all required forms filled out and signed by a parent/guardian prior to the event.

TCS Math Night Math Night

Treutlen County Schools will be conducting a Math Night for all Parents and Students on April 20th from 6:00-7:00. This will be offered as an In-Person as well as Virtual Event. The first 75 people to register will receive free math manipulatives to use at home. Please make plans to attend.

TES Parent Night TES Parent Night

Please join TES staff for the Title One GA Milestone and Curriculum Informational Parent Night.  This event will focus on the GA Milestone, TES Curriculum, Lexile Information, etc.  Parents will also obtain resources to help prepare children for success in their education.  TES values parents and would like to continue to partner with you to ensure the child's educational needs are met.  Door prizes will be given away.  Please contact Mrs. Crystal Coney for further information.  Parents can join by clicking the link below for Google Meet or join by phone. Back to School - Open House back to school OH

The back to school open house will take place on Monday August 2nd and Tuesday August 3rd from 2:30 until 6:00. There are 4 sessions planned for Open house to allow for smaller numbers of people in the building at any time. Each household will attend open house based on the oldest child’s last name.  If the last name is A-F you will attend form 2:30-4:00 on Monday, G-L 4:30-6:00 Monday, M-R 2:30-4:00 Tuesday and S-Z 4:30-6:00 Tuesday. We look forward to seeing all of you at Open House.

Pre-K Registration PreK Reg

The Treutlen County School System is now accepting applications for Pre-K Registration. Registration packets may be picked up at the Treutlen Elementary School or downloaded below. Upon completion of the application, the following documentation will also be needed:

1. Certified, legal copy of the child’s birth certificate
2. Copy of the child’s social security card
3. *Proof of Georgia residency

  • Electric, gas, water bill, lease/mortgage contract or vehicle registration with your name & physical mailing address included

4. Picture ID/driver’s license of parent/*guardian registering child.

  • Legal guardianship/custody paper must be presented if applicable

5. *Georgia Form 3231 Certificate of Immunizations
6. *Georgia Form 3300 Certificate of Eye, Ear, Dental & Nutrition

Complete registration packets (with all documentation needed) can be returned to Treutlen Elementary School on the following dates and times.

Parents of Children with Autism autism
Parent of student s with Autism, you are invited to take place in an online training session. This training is for parents of children with Autism in the Heart of Georgia region . In this informational session, parents will learn about the Emory Autism Network Project. Getting ready for summer! Parents will also learn about structures and support in the home environment to help children with Autism!

Covid19 Vaccinations for Students cov

if you are interested in your child receiving the Covid19 vaccination, the Treutlen County Health Department will be at the school to provide those during Open House.  The local health department will be providing the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine to students 12 years of age and older (accompanied by a parent/guardian) between 2:30PM and 5:30 PM during open house Monday, Aug. 2, and Tuesday, August 3. Please speak to your child's doctor or medical provider prior to vaccination if you have any questions or concerns. Pfizer is a 2-dose vaccine separated by 21 days. The health department staff will return in 21 days to vaccinate those students that get the first dose during open house.  Consent forms and Emergency Use Authorization packets will be provided during the vaccination clinic.

College Credit at High School GA futures

Why not receive college credit while in high school. Through the Dual Enrollment program, TCHS students can take college courses, at participating partner schools while in high school. This allows students the opportunity to get ahead in credits before graduating. For More information click on the link below.

DPH - Scoliosis Screening Required DHP

The Department of Public Health wants to remind all parents that scoliosis screening is required for all students in the 6th and 8th
grades who attend public school in Georgia.  Scoliosis is a sideways curve of the spine. About 3% of children are affected by scoliosis. It can
occur at any age but is often noticeable between the ages of 9 and 16, when growth occurs rapidly. For more information, please click on the links below.

Reduced Price Internet FCC

On February 25th, the FCC unanimously adopted a Report and Order that established the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program, a $3.2 billion federal initiative to help lower the cost of high-speed internet for eligible households during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The Emergency Broadband Benefit Program was created by Congress in the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021. Our students in the Treutlen County school system are eligible for this program.
