Treutlen County Nutrition program receives the coveted Golden Radish award. Treutlen County Schools won gold level recognition at the 2018 Golden Radish Awards held in Atlanta. The Golden Radish Award publicly recognizes Georgia school districts for best practices in farm to school programs, such as local food procurement, exposing students to new foods through taste tests and incorporating gardening and cooking activities into the curriculum. Treutlen County was one of 84 Georgia School Districts recognized at the awards. Collectively, these districts served more than 1.3 million students a whopping 109 million school meals with locally grown food items during the 2017-18 school year! Our teachers, staff members and administration strive to make our schools better each day. Our leadership team values your opinion and wants to make sure your voice is heard. On October 11th at 6:00 pm, TMHS will host a Parent Workshop. The workshop is geared at understanding the Special Education Program and addressing mental health well-being in children. Parents will learn their rights and responsibilities as parents of children with special needs, discuss transitioning from high school, and learn effective parenting skills in addressing children with special needs including emotional, physical, and behavioral disabilities. There will be guest speakers, light refreshments, and door prizes.
The Treutlen County Health Department will be offering student flu shots on October 10. This will take place at the school and will be available to all students, at NO COST. The Treutlen FFA fruit sale will began on August 27 and will continue until October 4th, 2018. The varieties of fruit that are available include pink grapefruit, juice oranges, navel oranges, mandarins, as well as special holiday cartons featuring navels and marmalade, mandarins and toffee, and mandarins and pecans. The citrus delight featuring grapefruit, navels, and mandarins as well as the triple charmer with grapefruit, navel, and apples are also available this year. It is that time again! The first day back to school, for all students in the Treutlen County School System is Wednesday, August the 1st. The faculty and staff are excited about a new year and look forward to seeing all of our students. Students, please enjoy the last few days of summer vacation and come prepared for a great year.

On May 15, the Treutlen County Pre-K Program conducted their annual Pre-K End of Year Celebration. The students performed many great songs. Everyone had a great time. If you would like to see the program, click on the video to the left.
The Treutlen County High School Theater Ats Program will present their production of "After Hours" on May 3rd at 7:00. The production will take place in the School Cafeteria. Please come out and support this fine group of students. We look forward to seeing all of you this Thursday Evening for culture, entertainment and laughter.
It is that time of year to Spring Forward. On Sunday morning, March 11 at 2:00 am, Daylight Savings time will begin. Do not forget to set your clocks forward one hour before going to bed on Saturday night.
On March 2nd beginning at 11:00, TES will be conducting a parent workshop. The workshop is geared towards helping parents gain knowledge about topics relevant to their child’s education, such as understanding testing, test preparation, expectations, trends, end of year assessments, the school improvement plan and family engagement policies. If you are a parent of the TES student, please make plans to attend. The meeting should be over by 12:00. We look forward to seeing all of you who can attend.
On February 11, 2018, the Treutlen County School Board approved the official 2018-2019 school year calendar. Twenty-three Beta members attended the 2018 GA Beta Convention on Jan. 24-26 in Savannah. Members competed in Living Literature, Math Div. I, Math Div. II, and Quiz Bowl.Pictured are Hannah Holton, Eva Wilcher, Chelsea Harden, Saleena Cauley, Trevor Byrd, Carli Meeks, Mikey Milton, Elizabeth Horne, and Caleb Williams. They completed in the Georgia Beta Convention 2018 Living Literature competition.
Treutlen County Elementary School is conducting a school wide fundraiser. The money raised will be used to purchase new playground equipment. All students will be participating in the sale, so please see any Elementary School students to purchase your T-shirt. They will be collecting your name, telephone number, and sizes needed. The shirts come in sizes: YXS-5XL. The price for the T-shirt is $15.00. The deadline for purchasing a shirt is December 15, so please see a student and show your Treutlen PRIDE!
On May the 11th, the Treutlen County Middle School conducted their honors day program. The event was packed with entertainment and many awards. Part 1 is a video showing the Introduction, Pledge, Songs and much much more. The Speaker for this years program was Mr. Elices Washington.
